Reaffirm the commitment you made to support Minimally Invasive Dentistry when you joined the WCMID, by becoming a WCMID Fellow or Diplomate. Receive professional recognition and join other esteemed clinicians and researchers who have made a choice to pursue excellence in MID. Benefits within the organization include: recognition at a formal dinner at the WCMID Annual Meeting, a handsome wall plaque to celebrate your achievement in attaining Fellowship and/or Diplomate status, and your name listed as a Fellow or Diplomate on the WCMID public Web site: www.middentist.com.
The WCMID provides its members with the tools needed to gain accreditation at both the Fellowship and Diplomate levels in the organization. In order to assist you throughout the Fellow and Diplomate accreditation process, WCMID will provide a mentor to all prospective Fellows and Diplomates.
Fellowship Exam:
The information and requirements for attaining Fellow and Diplomate status, including, Study Guide listings, References and Case Studies can be found on the WCMID Web site www.wcmid.com and are available from the WCMID office. The test is administered at the Annual WCMID meeting.
The Study Guide for the WCMID Fellowship Exam consists of a list of downloadable reference articles that are available on our Web Site. These articles have been selected to provide a basic understanding of the concepts underlying Minimally Invasive Dentistry. Also available are downloadable case studies, a PowerPoint template and a sample case study Word document. The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions, as well as two extra credit questions.
Once you have obtained Fellowship status, you become eligible to take the Diplomate exam - the highest level of recognition in the WCMID.
Diplomate Exam:
Online material to assist preparation for this exam consists of case studies, case study forms, and a PowerPoint template, the scoring parameters and documentation for the five required clinical case studies.
